Sushant Singh Rajput Learns Bengali For ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshi’
Actor Sushant Singh Rajput is right now in Kolkata to shoot his next film ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshi’ and he has been working hard to get his character right.
In fact, Sushant has now started learning Bengali and even hired a tutor for the same purpose.
Confirming the news, Sushant’s spokesperson states, “Yes, we did rope in a tutor to help him learn Bangla.”
More so, Sushant’s efforts to make his character real aren’t limited to just learning the language but he wants to get into sync with West Bengal’s culture too and is observing the lifestyle of local people.
A source close to the film informs, “Apart from learning Bangla, Sushant is also keenly observing and studying Bengali culture and its people. He has been eating certain local dishes in order to understand Bengalis better. He wants to play his part — that of a young Bengali man — convincingly.”
‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshi’ is based on the fictional Bengali character written by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay. The film is being directed by Dibakar Banerjee.
