DELHI AGAIN!!! Enough Is Enough!
Pick up any newspaper of any day and you get to read the news of rape. Sometimes a school kid, sometimes a working lady, sometimes a college girl and sometimes a 6 month baby (the recent incident).
Just when its almost 2 years for the 16-Decemeber incident where the whole country united to fight against rape, our capital city was shook again by one more such incident. And it will continue till our law and order stays in silent mode.Its not that we don't have strong laws. We do have. The only problem is they are not applied. Probably we should have understood it a long time back when the juvenile culprit in the Nirbhaya case got away though he was the most brutal.
Last year on a vacation to Dubai, I was so much impressed by the way the citizens follow the law and order of their place. They abide by the rules because they know they will be severely punished if they break them. That may be the reason they follow it religiously. Then why not in our country. Why are we so careless about the laws here.Its time we get over with the "CHALEGA" attitude.
The fact is nothing has changed since the Nirbhaya episode. The only thing that has happened is that the rapists are much more confident that they will get away doing such crimes. Its time our laws are set into place to save the daughters of the country. Let there be no mercy to the people who commit such crimes. If a guy is old enough to commit rape and then he is definitely old enough to get punished for that crime.
No matter what is their age, caste and what not -"HANG THE RAPISTS" and the crime will get reduced. The only way to stop such crimes is to create fear of the punishment for such crimes. They are not to be forgiven.
